Dr. Zoia Vassilevskaia brings a uniquely integrated perspective to psychological care within the workers’ compensation system, shaped by extensive experience in both medicine and clinical psychology. Before becoming a psychologist in the United States, she trained and practiced as a physician in obstetrics and gynecology, caring for patients navigating medical trauma, recovery, grief, and significant life stressors. This foundation gave her a deep understanding of the connection between physical injury, emotional well-being, and the complexities of healing.

After relocating to the United States, Dr. Zoia earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology and continued her commitment to patient care within the U.S. healthcare system. Her multidisciplinary, trauma-informed approach integrates both medical and psychological perspectives to support recovery. She has worked extensively with individuals impacted by trauma, chronic stress, crisis situations, substance use challenges, interpersonal violence, grief, and major life transitions. Her professional experience also includes crisis intervention, domestic violence advocacy, and intensive outpatient treatment settings, where she supported individuals facing complex emotional and psychological challenges.

Since 2020, Dr. Zoia has specialized in workers’ compensation psychological care, helping injured workers navigate acute stress, PTSD, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, and identity disruption related to workplace injuries and delayed recovery. She understands that recovery often extends beyond physical healing, affecting family relationships, future plans, self-identity, and overall emotional well-being.
